About the Sanitation Mission

The sanitation mission at eGov is working on creating a national sanitation platform. The mission also catalyses an ecosystem of market actors, policy makers, governments and civil society to design programs to ensure zero untreated waste in 1000 habitats in the next 1000 days.

As a Mission Leader you will :

• Develop and execute a national strategy to achieve the mission goal of zero untreated waste in 1000 habitats.
• Catalyse the decisive energy of the sanitation ecosystem by building a shared narrative that cuts across our key stakeholders policy makers, civil society and markets
• Deliver a national platform as digital public good and co-create standards and protocols
• Evangelise the platform approach and generate demand
• Develop a program design for implementation of action research in state(s) and help secure the approvals to implement
• Enable the convergence of various state and central govt initiatives towards the end goals zero untreated waste habitats
• Catalyse a scale market ecosystem of system integrators that will run multiple sanitation programs across India
• Enable the ecosystem to drive adoption at scale by creating knowledge assets, program advisory & hands-on training
• Build a winning team to execute the mission (team size ~25), help give the team direction and set the pace for the mission.
• Represent eGov at Key Steering Committees and working groups in the ministry, key states and sector groups
• Manage the mission P&L and investor relations

This role is ideal for you if you have :

• Experience in designing and/or managing multi-stakeholder development sector programs
• Experience in running independent business units and transformational programs
• Experience in programs designed around Community Institutions, SHGs and State Swachh Bharat Missions
• An understanding of technology as applied to solving complex problems
• Experience in building or working in a start-up
• Graduate, post-graduate degree
• 10-15 years of work experience
• Fluency in written and spoken Hindi and English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated the ability and willingness to learn continuously, collaborate, and be open-minded
• Demonstrated the ability to keep aside personal bias and do what is right for the community
• Open to frequent India-wide travel
