• Leads the system engineering work packages and technical solutions for the existing and new product development projects. Possesses a broad strategic vision of the divisions future products and services and provides consultation in the chosen area of expertise with a strong system level understanding. Be a signatory for major deliverables / program.

• Creates, deploys and sustains best in class system engineering processes for Power electronics product design. Develops the procedures for governing model-based system engineering practices and best in class system requirements management for product design.

• Leads system level detailed requirements for EV systems, subsystems and components to meet system level performance, EMI/ EMC and reliability. Model based requirements synthesis for the power electronics products including inverters, OBC and DCDC converters.

• Develops the unique topologies, defines novel system architectures for DCDC converter, inverter and onboard chargers, conducts system simulation. Provides the system requirements for detailed design of power electronics products and subsystems.

• Sizes and selects the power electronics products and components and understands de-rating based on the operating environment.

• Designs product for cost, reliability and safety in collaboration with mechanical, hardware, software, team. Deploys the right methods to define interfaces and deploys the best practices to manage interfaces.

• Optimizes design for energy efficiency and various performance parameters using physical modeling or simulation tools. Adopts analysis first approach and first-time right approach to develop the power electronics products.

• Performs validation and verification test plans at a unit, sub-system and vehicle level to fully validate requirements of customers. Analyzes vehicle data from test and customer vehicles to investigate, identify, and resolve issues and performance complaints.

• Utilizes the DFSS methodology and tools. Develops System-FMEA to ensure design robustness. Contributes to continued enhancement of architecture to support additional product features.

• Provide customer facing support and solve customer problems. Develop understanding of marketplace for systems and services by closely working with Sales and Marking team along with the customer support.

• Interface with products teams in EIIC and global locations; act as the liaison for program associated with associated simulation technologies

• Monitors progress and achievements on projects, ensure technical reviews and expert resolution of issues and monitor integration of work.

• Thorough understanding of digital validation tools and techniques to predict performance of products including flow and thermal simulations, control systems, system architecture, system modeling and tools, Six Sigma (DFSS) expertise.

• Engage and contribute on multiple programs, adjacent to your technical expertise and be part of cross-functional teams. Capture the knowledge in the form publications. Consult on various other programs which require your domain knowledge

• Understands technology advancement / market demand by closely working with Sales and Marking team along with the customer support

• Represent organization in different external forum, university collaboration, presents or publishes the technical papers, chair technical conferences and be a member of external technical forum committee.

Qualifications

Requirement:

• Masters in electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics engineering with industry experience of over 9 years and proven track record in engineering research / analysis / product design in multi-disciplinary areas of auto / aero / hydraulic / electrical domain is essential.

• Experience in Systems engineering, Requirements Management, Validation, Verification and Certification of Auto / Electrical domain

• Product or subsystem development, integration and validation experience DCDC converters, inverters, on board chargers.
• Selection of topology, simulation and detailed design of Power electronics products and subsystems, including inverters, DC DC converters.
• Selection of components and understanding of de-rating based on the operating environment.
• Experience in hybrid / vehicle electrification
• Experience with ISO 26262 and/or ASPICE standards.
• Experience with Systems engineering tools - MATLAB/Simulink tools, IBM Jazz Tools
