Job Description

As a business development manager, you'll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. Your work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business, position, or reputation in some way. You may have a single role in the organization or lead a team of staff. Your work will often reach across all areas of the business. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company s products/services addressing or predicting clients objectives.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
  • Think strategically - see the bigger picture and set aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
  • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
  • Have a good understanding of the business s products or services and be able to advise others about them.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate.
  • Create a sales pipeline.
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors.
  • Preparing pitch deck.
  • Competitor Analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Market knowledge.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Time management and planning skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating.
  • with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills.
  • IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets.
  • Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload.
  • The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals.
  • Experience in preparing pitch deck including Go to Market strategy.
