Duties/ Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for all functions associated with maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, reporting and recovery procedures

Manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently

Should have a thorough knowledge of data security Setup and Configuration of High availability concepts like Replication, Mirroring and log shipping

Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades

Responsible for implementation and release of database

Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.

Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Database security patch application.

Troubleshooting DB Crash

Rebuild Database due to Incident

Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.

Strong analytical skills for problem solving database related issues.

Cross-training to support Oracle team members in terms of maintenance of physical database structures and associated hardware, network and system configurations

Experience

SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Configuration and Administration. Should have proficiency in SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 optimization and fine-tuning

Experience in MySQL administration is a must requirement. Knowledge of Postgres is preferable.
