Job Purpose -To work as agreed with COO on major Sourcing initiatives (up to 10m in value) to develop and execute commercial solutions. This includes: Supporting scope decisioning through make vs buy assessment targeted at realising greater value for IRCB India. Working with other Group functions and/or Business areas and SSUs to evaluate and define appropriate commercial model (e.g. alliance, Joint Venture or outsourcing) in support of appropriate business objectives Defining associated sourcing strategies and market approach, negotiating best in class commercial solutions aligned to Business drivers or delivering specified components thereof. Undertaking key commercial activities necessary to support delivery of the commercial solution (e.g. Contract Due Diligence). Managing assigned suppliers during to achieve best value on an ongoing basis. Effectively stakeholder managing multiple key clients and suppliers at Senior levels from a commercial perspective. Supporting effective handover of commercial arrangements into live operation. Knowledge sharing across Sourcing colleagues, supporting new ways of working and assisting with the development and implementation of new tools and techniquesMain Accountabilities and approximate time split: Work cross functionally to establish and maintain working relations with other parts of IRCB India and Group, influencing as needed to deliver role typically up to and including Senior Management level. Lead development and execution of Sourcing Strategies for all assigned initiatives acting as a commercial expert in conjunction with line or task manager. This would include reviewing of different commercial models/options ensuring fit with service, market and relevant supplier strategies Build comprehensive market approaches, reviewing as necessary with clients and line or task manager as appropriate. Develop and communicate Commercial plans effectively working together with cross functional team members and the Group to achieve Business approval. For major sourcing initiatives assist task manager in delivery of commercial and contractual elements through commercial negotiation leading to contract award ensuring all financial, risk, strategic and commercial considerations are optimised. Manage the handover of commercial arrangements into live operation post contract award. Effectively manage supply side dependencies and interactions up to senior level throughout the sourcing life cycle internally with clients and colleagues and externally with suppliers Manage ongoing key Supplier Relationships to ensure delivery of continuous improvement targets as agreed with COO Ensure sourcing is in line with organisational and external (e.g. RBI) governance.
Minimum Requirements
Post Graduate with 7 - 10 years relevant experience in Sourcing.Knowledge and Expertise : Effective people management and delivery of complex challenges in rapid timescales Good understanding of appropriate commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class deals e.g. outsourcing, offshoring, etc Good contract knowledge necessary to effect best in class deals (e.g. contract law). Multi disciplinary team facilitation and influence up to senior management levels in order to promote ideas and concepts as required. Ability to help develop sourcing strategies through options analysis and negotiation strategies. Strong commercial and negotiation skill sets Supplier communications and management necessary to obtain leading commercial solutions. Supply Market and business knowledge pertinent to opportunity in question coupled with ability to rapidly accept new skills/information. Very good networking and stakeholder management skills at a senior level. Risk management and commercial project management skills
