Job Summary

A construction company specialized in marine infrastructure works is looking for project accountant to monitor the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses and ensuring project billings in projects located all over India.

Create project accounts in the accounting system
Maintain project related records including contracts and work orders
Authorize transfer of expenses into and out of project related accounts
Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project
Review and approve time sheets of employees
Review and approve overhead charges associated with the project
Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
Monitor unpaid contract bills, project profitability, chances for additional billing
Create and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects
Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
