Cosmos Dba Job in Centroid

The Cosmos DBA/Cloud Engineer will be engaging with various customers in their cloud enablement initiatives. The candidate will be involved in design and execution of cloud migration strategy, focusing on data migration from Cosmos DB to other platforms like relational DBs, mysql, sqlserver and Oracle. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Azure, with specialty in relational databases like mysql, sqlserver and oracle. Candidate will also exhibit the ability to communicate technical aspects of a solution to the customer.

Requirements

CosmosDB DBA :

8 years of Database administration (preferably with expertise Oracle and MySQL).

2+ Years Cloud Experience (Azure or AWS)

2+ Years Container platform (Kubernetes /AKS/ Openshift)

Expert knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB architecture and administration

Deep understanding of Cosmos DB resource models, containers, databases, and collections

Experience in migration of databases to other platforms like MySQL or Document DBs like Autonomous JSON

Familiarity with DocumentDB technologies like Oracle JSON database

Experience with relational Databases like MySQL and Oracle

Ability to work with development to review and tune queries and updates to ensure optimal performance, defining indexes, profiling performance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.

Experience working with Agile teams, applying Agile/Lean principles and a continuous improvement mentality to every aspect of solution development

Scripting, or any development knowledge to aid with automation efforts

Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; creative thinking

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional non-business hours

Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member.

BS or BA in Computer Science or Business Management or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills

Hands on experience working within a cloud environment is a huge plus
