Job Summary

Job Overview

The Software Development Manager will lead a team of developers and platform engineers, supporting our eCommerce and Portal Products. You will focus on enabling team growth, fostering clear communication, and ensuring the delivery of world-class customer experiences (both internal and external). You will work closely with tech leads to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive the best outcomes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Lead multiple software development projects, managing a team of Software Engineers.
    • Oversee the development of cutting-edge software products, contributing to new market areas such as cloud computing.
    • Work closely with business teams to build innovative solutions following an agile development process.
    • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring the effective analysis, prototyping, and delivery of software solutions.
  • Development and Delivery:

    • Contribute to critical R&D software projects that drive innovation within the company.
    • Manage core toolkits and secondary applications that support business operations.
    • Ensure all product deliveries meet stakeholder expectations, communicating with customers to clarify product requirements and gather feedback.
  • Team Management and Growth:

    • Mentor, train, and develop team members, providing guidance on both technical and professional growth.
    • Facilitate the creation of detailed development plans and manage team coordination throughout the development cycle.
    • Identify and mitigate risks during sprint cycles, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Ensure proper documentation of development processes, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
    • Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance across multiple sprint teams and aligning business needs with technical capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Work Experience:

    • 7+ years of relevant experience in software design and applications, with 2+ years in a managerial capacity.
    • Experience in eCommerce is required, and knowledge of the B2B healthcare domain is a plus.
  • Certifications:

    • Preferred: Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agile Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), Google Analytics Certification.

    • Proficient in relational database management systems (RDBMS) and relevant programming languages (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL).
    • Familiarity with cloud computing tools, integration and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and big data frameworks like Hadoop.
  • Tools Knowledge:

    • JIRA/Confluence for project management and collaboration.
    • Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and presentations.
