Job Summary
Qualification : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of the testing process, contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems and products. Your responsibilities include:
Requirement and Test Planning Support:
- Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions to ensure an understanding of business and technical expectations.
- Assist in translating business and technical requirements into detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
Test Execution and Analysis:
- Support the setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing.
- Execute test charters and analyze test session results to ensure product quality.
- Leverage automated testing suites to explore edge cases and drive quality improvements in collaboration with development teams.
Defect Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather test result data, assign severity levels to issues, and document accurate system responses.
- Perform initial analysis of defects, conduct root cause analysis, and escalate issues as necessary.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Generate monthly and quarterly metric reports for regional leadership review.
- Establish processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and provide regular test reports to enhance bug tracking and rapid reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and analyze internal testing process metrics for ongoing improvement.
- Partner with senior quality engineers to modernize testing tools and techniques, ensuring maximum test coverage and improving testing procedures.
Process Improvement Recommendations:
- Identify, recommend, and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of engineering, implementation, and service strategies.
What Your Background Should Look Like
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Associate in Software Testing
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- Certified Test Engineer (CTE)
Work Experience:
- 0-2 years of directly related or relevant experience in system/software quality and testing.
Behavioral Skills:
- Strong assertiveness, creativity, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent impact and influencing skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work.
- Strong organization and problem-solving capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in automated screening and testing.
- Familiarity with software testing frameworks and test script writing and deployment.
- Knowledge of IT controls, technical documentation, and testability assessments.
Tools Knowledge:
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, and TestCollab.
- Familiarity with functional testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and automated testing tools like WinRunner, LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of bug tracking software, ERP systems like SAP, and programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python, and SQL.
Qualification : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
