We are focused on bringing innovation into ABB products by extending them with cutting-edge technologies including Robotic Process Automation, Mobile, Augmented Reality, Cognitive services, chatbots and others. We are looking for a person who will be working within Innovation and Emerging services€™ Business Process Automation team to deliver and support IS infrastructure services that enable the automation of business processes and drive the Industry 4.0 market. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver technologies that lie at the forefront of the digital transformation taking place within ABB.

Your responsibilities

• Be responsible for overall system and infrastructure availability for Business Process Automation platforms.
• Advises and supports the installation of new IS solutions/services in regard of the required infrastructure or the changing of existing IS solutions/services.
• Be involved in the management, maintenance and optimization of IS Business Process Automation infrastructure.
• Ensure that the Business Process Automation platform conforms with IS security and compliance best practices and standards.
• Deliver bespoke consultancy helping IS teams or management to solve IS infrastructure, security and network problems of various scope and complexity.
• Pro-actively review, design, implement efficient and cost-effective infrastructure capability that can scale to meet increasing Business Process Automation demand.

Your background

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT environment.
• Good understanding of Server & desktop hardware/ operating systems, networks, firewalls, certificates and load balancers, etc.
• Experience of working with 3rd party service providers.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server.
• Good understanding of Cloud technologies and implementations (Azure/AWS)
• Experience with SQL database administration with focus on availability and redundancy.
• Experience of identifying and resolving IS infrastructure and security technology related problems
• Ability to perform unsupervised work in multiple projects.
• Understanding of Enterprise IT landscape
• Proficiency in English
• Pluses:
• Degree in IT or related disciplines
• ITIL Certifications
• Knowledge of desktop virtualization technologies (VMWare, Citrix)
• Prior experience working with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
• Good understanding of PowerShell scripting.
• Prior experience working with containerized services (Kubernetes, Docker)
