Job Summary The Demand Planning Officer is responsible for driving accurate demand forecasting to optimize inventory levels and ensure efficient supply chain operations. This role involves leveraging statistical forecasting tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing sales data to deliver accurate demand plans. Key Responsibilities Demand Forecasting Utilize APO to generate statistical forecasts on a monthly basis. Incorporate trade promotions, new product launches, and other relevant factors into demand forecasts. Conduct sales and rolling consensus meetings to finalize demand plans. Coordinate with regional sales and brand teams to gather input for demand planning. Release demand plans to the supply planning team through APO. Continuously improve forecast accuracy for BCR and dairy products. Ensure adherence to the demand planning calendar. Data Analysis and Management Conduct sales history corrections for trend normalization. Maintain and update APO master data, including CVC checks and depot/SKU realignment. Coordinate with the commercial team for latest valuation. Prepare weekly aging analyses to identify and address inventory issues. Support Activities Manage master data, including updates and corrections. Conduct bias analysis to enhance forecast accuracy. Prepare standard MIS reports, including ZSOP updates, code master, and demand planning sawtooth. Participate in SKU rationalization initiatives. Circulate forecast accuracy and exception reports to relevant teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain management. Strong understanding of demand planning processes, including APO DP & SNP and master data management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Desired Skills SAP APO certification or experience. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices. Experience with data visualization tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification :
Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
