Role Summary:
The role embody our medical mission in becoming a trusted, agile partner who engages in relevant dialogue and delivers timely, high impact data and insights that advance the science or accelerate access, shape medical practice and drive appropriate adoption of BMS medicines. The role is a HO based role with about 20%-30% time spent in field. DAS will closely collaborates with marketing team and CMD and develop strategy and drive medico-marketing activities as per plan. DAS will also work closely with MSL team to drive medical plan.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Strategy & Execution
In joint partnership with the Country Medical Director, the Disease Area Specialist Hematology is accountable for:
- Ensuring country medical activities are aligned with WW strategies
- Implementing TA strategies and initiatives in line with the WW medical strategy
- Planning and implementing high quality medical educational activities, enabling HCPs best understanding on hematology
- Ensuring clinical trials within India are delivered to agreed standards of time, quality and costs in collaboration with RCO team
- Supporting a country Medical teams with his/her scientific expertise and provide scientific mentoring to newcomers
- Building TIMER cluster reputation and visibility within the WWMT
- Working closely together with the Intercon Operations Leads to maintain alignment across the region
- Actively promoting the culture of performance, innovation and constructive challenge
- Ensuring strong medical and scientific knowledge, as well as continuous training of MSLs/ FMSM/ Sales/ Marketing
- Being a role model of ethical and professional behavior
- Monitoring compliance with all applicable BMS policies
Role Qualifications:
- MD or Medical Qualification ( BDS, MBBS), Pharm D
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience, preferably in medical affairs
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in hematology
- Significant experience in Pre-launch and launch activities
- Ability to lead strategy development and execution within TA
- Broad cross-cultural experience. Ability to flex across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations and matrix partners.
- Experience in performing effectively in a matrix, cross- functional and team environment.
- Ability to provide a strong voice to the markets vis a vis the Intercon and WWMT
- Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working.
- Project management skills.
- Fluent in English
