Staff Specialist Sqa Engineer Job in Bmc Software

8+ years of experience testing and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.

Strong experience in JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF. Strong experience in at least one DBMS (IMS/DB2).

Strong Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills.

Experience in REXX and CI/CD pipeline end to end testing beneficial.

Contributing member of the quality assurance team responsible for testing of software products under the guidance of senior leaders. The role requires a good knowledge of product domain, the software development life cycle and the process involved in product development and maintenance. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Accurately estimates the size and scope of the testing effort of projects. Tests product code according to BMC quality standards. Self-starter able to work independently to provide quality solutions with little oversight. Able to manage a mixed workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function testing and product maintenance.
