Staff Specialist Product Developer Job in Bmc Software

POSITION SUMMARY:

Product Developer who is a contributing member of a product the development team and is responsible for developing,

troubleshooting, and debugging of BMC IMS software program products, including software tools and application

programming interfaces, graphical user interfaces, and cross platform communication. This role works with general

direction on implementing software requirements and assisting with customer escalations resolving them in

product patches.

This is a hands-on role and performs day-to-day development activities, overseen by management, and team leads.

The role provides weekly feedback to the Development and QA team leads/managers on development activities,

progress, and problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have:

5-10 years experience in Z/OS application development, systems engineering, or software product development.

Experience with Z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, CLIST, and Rexx.

Experience with Z/OS Assembler and Macro language programming.

Experience with Dump diagnostics (prefer IPCS, but AbendAid acceptable)

Preferred:

Experience with IMS, preferably IMS Transaction Manager experience.

Experience with Z/OS Systems Programming, SMP/E, z/OS internals and control block familiarity.

Experience with XDC, Xpeditor, FileAid, Strobe, ISPW.

Experience with RACF, SAF, APF authorization.

Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Topaz.

Experience with BMC Software products such as DELTA PLUS, Message Advisor for IMS, Mainview for IMS.

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Teams)
