Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Requirements & Specifications: Define hardware requirements and specifications based on user and customer needs.
  • Electronic System Development: Contribute to creating and documenting electronic system architectures.
  • Circuit Design Leadership: Lead the design of analog and digital circuit schematics for microcontroller-based systems, ensuring all performance targets are met.
  • Circuit Analysis: Use calculation and simulation methods (e.g., Power Integrity, Power Sequencing, LTSpice, Pspice) to analyze circuit performance, including environmental and load stresses, to ensure reliability in safety-critical applications.
  • Electrical Architecture Design: Oversee the design and development of systems and sub-systems within the broader electrical architecture.
  • Power Systems Design: Design products with multiple power sources such as AC/DC, DC/DC, Lithium-Ion Batteries, and AA Batteries.
  • Documentation & Approval: Create, modify, and approve electrical design documentation, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate engineers/technicians on design-related tasks.
  • Test Methodology: Define and implement test methods to validate the performance of designs.
  • Circuit Assembly Layout: Advise on the layout of circuit assemblies to meet performance requirements, including emissions, immunity, and manufacturability.
  • Manufacturing Transition: Ensure products and processes are transitioned to manufacturing efficiently while maintaining product robustness.
  • Collaborative Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external development partners.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Resolve challenges between engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and marketing to deliver products to market.
  • Safety & Effectiveness Validation: Lead the execution of protocols and tests required to confirm the safety and effectiveness of designs.
  • Troubleshooting Leadership: Direct troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical aspects of devices and systems.
  • Project Management: Create and communicate detailed design/test plans, tasks, and status updates, ensuring all milestones are met on schedule.
  • Qualifications:

  • Track Record in Electromechanical Development: Proven experience in hardware development, ideally in the medical device industry or other highly regulated sectors (e.g., military).
  • Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.
  • Power System Design Experience: Significant experience designing products with multiple power sources, including AC/DC, DC/DC, Lithium-Ion Battery Packs, and AA Batteries.
  • Testing & Compliance: Hands-on experience testing electronic devices to meet emissions, immunity, and safety standards.
  • CAD & Data Acquisition Expertise: Familiarity with CAD systems for PCB schematic design/layout (Altium Designer preferred) and data acquisition tools like LabVIEW.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of standards like IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, and ASTM.
  • Sensing Subsystem Design: Experience in the design and development of sensing subsystems is highly valued.
  • Embedded Systems Design: Knowledge in developing embedded microcontroller-based electronics products is desirable.
  • Statistical Analysis Skills: Experience with statistical analysis tools like Minitab is a plus.
  • Education & Experience:

    • A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field (Graduate/Postgraduate).
    • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. Experience in the infusion pump domain is a bonus.


    Qualification :
    Graduate or Postgraduate in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and 8 to12 years of experience. Prior experience in infusion pump domain is a plus
