JOB PURPOSE: To direct and participate in the concept and design of complex engineering products for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, serviceability at the most affordable cost.

JOB DUTIES: This position represents the journey level position within design engineering. The primary role of a Engineer is that of an individual contributor to the planning and delivery of a project.

Key areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all the following:

-Construction of electric circuit diagrams in EPLAN Electric P8 for new engine electric equipment.
-Construction of electric circuit diagrams in EPLAN Electric P8 for re-design of old engine electric equipment.
-Design and execution of the entire automation and electrical engineering for customer orders, both for drive systems as diesel-electro or main drives, and for electrical power applications with EPLAN P8.
-Checking the project planning regarding electrotechnical regulations and standards.
-Creation of circuit diagrams, terminal diagrams, cable lists, parts lists and documentation according to the latest standards and regulations.
-Programming ePLAN Engineering Center (EEC) for aMACS engines.
-Interface clarification of the software tools ePLAN to CREO with external software experts.
-Contact with supplier of electrical parts.
-Elaboration of technical concepts and specification of electrical components.
-Support for designing of 3D-engine harness drawings.
-Creation of specifications, requirements and interfaces in accordance with MCS and CSA rules.
-Clarification and elaboration of IGF-code.
-Development of cost reduction measures regarding electrical components.
-Creating parts lists for the Large engines control systems / cabinet installation
-Support of the customer service department in electrical troubleshooting.
-Elaboration of technical solutions for After Sales Department.
-Representing the interests of the department in internal and external meetings (NPI, CPI).
-Follow the Stop to fix_x009d_ process for long term product improvement.
-Marketing support for creation of project guides.

Qualifications

Key skills and Knowledge requirement:
Must Have:

• B.E in Electrical Engineering
• 3-8 years experience in electrical design
• 3-8 experience with CAE tool ePLAN P8 (reading, understanding)
• Experience of electrical circuit design & simulation
• Thorough knowledge of the design and working of one or more of the following- Controllers, Circuit Breakers, Digital & Analog I/O modules and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS232).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly motivated to work in interdisciplinary and international teams
• Independently, structured, organized and responsible working style.

Desired:

• Skilled in Windchill and CREO.
• Knowledge of diesel, gas and dual fuel engines.
• Knowledge in MS-Office tools.
