Job Summary:

Provides actionable business intelligence to the organization used to make informed business decisions supporting strategic initiatives and driving increased revenue, profit and market share. Conducts industry research, analyzes external market data and identifies emerging business trends to support the competitive intelligence needs of the company and its operating groups. Utilizes data to evaluate the organization s competitive position within industry.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Develops reports and other tools to deliver internal company information enabling business users to make informed decisions.
• Uses external industry data to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Gathers, aggregates and models critical industry related data to forecast changing market variables.
• Analyzes information from multiple external sources regarding company financial performance, customer insights, competitor profiling, competitive threats, potential product or technical expansion, industry trends and other such business intelligence aspects.
• Organizes research and analytical results into concise presentations, narratives and consultative opinions to be presented and/or utilized by senior executives.
• Promotes the use of analytical tools and methods in the business decision making process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

• Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
• Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions.
• Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
• Actions typically affect own work assignments and department. Erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish work may require some assistance or resources to remedy.

Work Experience:

• Typically 3-6 years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Translating business goals into a web analysis measurement strategy with associated data analysis and reporting.

Developing, implementing and managing online reporting tools, tracking key metrics and formulating dashboard analysis to publish to key stakeholders through performing traffic analysis and identifying customer journeys, trends and opportunities.

Providing actionable recommendations and insight that assist in increasing conversion rates, average order values and maximization of other ecommerce metrics.

Delivering continuous improvement in web performance through the design and use of testing strategies

Leading research and delivering strategic insight back to the business from analysis campaigns and development across website, customer experience, customer journeys, sources, sign ups, transactions and digital marketing campaigns.

Preparing marketing campaign analysis and return on investment appraisals for all digital media investment providing recommendations on how to optimize ROI and drive customer acquisition and conversion based on the findings

Managing digital audits, driving optimization and ensuring effectiveness controls are in place. Using auditing, benchmarking and other tools to deliver marketing campaign analysis, return on investment appraisals, performance related audits for all digital media investment and website related activities.
