Lead Product Designer Job in Autorabit

Job Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our team. At AutoRABIT, the design culture starts with our leadership team and flows outward into every aspect of the organization. Design is an integral part of everyday life at AutoRABIT.

As a product team, we believe in a collaborative working style with a bias towards rapid prototyping, experimentation, and user testing. You ll be expected to work with the team to produce a host of ideas, selecting the best ones to sell to the other team members and stakeholders.

You will be working with enthusiastic Scrum teams daily to design, mock, and implement a SaaS product serving thousands of developers worldwide. As lead product designer, you will assist and direct other designers to build a high-quality software product. You will be expected to keep up with industry standards and best practices, and to help us to continuously improve the AutoRABIT product.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as a conduit between the Product, Engineering and Creative teams to solve complex interaction problems, humanize product ideas and develop these ideas into elegant application design
• Work with Product Managers and Engineers to grow strategic concepts through design exploration, ideation, and user validation
• Design interaction models, wireframes, and mid-fidelity mock-ups that promote ease of use and optimize how customers or clients interact with our products.
• Analyse tasks, model information, navigation and flows using UX best practices for web.
• Present design solutions to stakeholders and company executives, defend design decisions and incorporate feedback into the design cycle
• Strike a balance between the practicalities of design and rethinking paradigms that define a new web
• Ideate with all levels of AutoRABIT to create products that make happier support professionals

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise turning complex business problems into simple and engaging products for the web, iPhone, iPad and Android. The successful candidate will have experience in responsive design.
• 2+ years experience designing SaaS software using components and design systems
• 3+ years experience using design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience using product analytic tools (example Pendo) is a plus.
• Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling platform vision.
• Experience working with remote teams in vastly different time zones. Ability to work with customers and employees during their business hours, even when halfway around the world.
• Prior experience and familiarity with industry standard ALM platforms, defect tracking tools and SDLC practices. The candidate should be comfortable using Jira and git.
• Must have a great, positive attitude.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail are required.
• We are a multinational company; therefore the candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, but always productively.

Education and Qualifications:

• BFA or similar and a minimum of 8+ years of professional experiencedesigning consumer or SaaS applications
• Previous experience as a Product Designer, UI / UX Designer etc
• Experience working with scrum development teams preferred

Work Timings: Must be willing to support customers and projects in multiple time zones and will require working time overlap with management in India and the USA.

Travel Required: 10% or less
