Arcadis is seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage and guide a multidisciplinary team in delivering successful project outcomes. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership experience to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance of team members, ensuring technical coordination across stakeholders, and promoting continuous improvement in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance Management: As the main point of contact for the UK Business Area, you will manage the utilization and billability of your team. You will track and review team performance, ensuring that deliverables meet the required quality and deadlines. This includes monitoring individual team members performance and providing the necessary training and development opportunities.
Project Delivery: Lead medium to large-scale multidisciplinary projects, managing teams of 30+ professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring that project objectives are met within established budgets and timelines. This includes monitoring the project budget, managing design changes, and providing technical support as required. You will also provide input on project programs and resource allocation to ensure optimal project delivery.
Technical Leadership & Innovation: Serve as an internal leader for technical solutions and innovations, ensuring that your team applies best practices in design and project execution. You will provide technical guidance and drive consistency in design approach, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and clients. Your role will involve clear and effective communication, delegating tasks, and preparing technical reports and presentations. You will also be responsible for maintaining delivery plans, processes, and guidelines to ensure smooth execution of technical scopes.
Health & Safety: Actively contribute to promoting health and safety in the workplace by implementing and monitoring health and safety practices. You will also ensure that team members are trained on health and safety protocols and sustainable design solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with other managers and team leaders (e.g., ATD/TD) to align on business goals, ensure consistency across projects, and address any challenges. You will also participate in global initiatives and committees that drive best practices within the company.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background: A Master s degree (MTech/MEng or equivalent) in Geotechnical Engineering.
Experience: At least 15 years of working experience in the geotechnical engineering field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in leading UK-based projects. Experience in delivering design and modeling tasks in a leadership capacity is required.
Design & Build Projects: Experience in Design & Build projects is an advantage.
Chartered Status: Must hold internationally recognized professional qualifications, such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent.
Leadership & Problem Solving: Proven experience in leading the development and implementation of engineering solutions, demonstrating excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Qualification : Have a MTech/MEng or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering
