What you will be doing: Understand business needs of the company and identify the suitable cloud architecture solutions to successfully address these needs. Define and advocate for technical cloud architectures addressing quality standards, monitoring, security and maintainability. Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, tools and methodologies and make recommendations to engineering management. Transform business architectures into solution architecture while collaborating with software engineers. Ensure architecture documentation to stay compliant with ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements. Identify and choose cloud services (e.g. messaging service, etc.) and basic frameworks in alignment with the team to meet the strategic needs of the company. Define architectural blueprints (e.g. messaging, API gateways, audit trails, etc.) and implement together with the Web & Infrastructure team. Contribute to building a world-class team by providing feedback through source code reviews and solution architecture reviews. Ensure close collaboration with QA, Product and Delivery teams to build best-in-class software. YOUR PROFILE Deep understanding of secure, scalable and state-of-the-art cloud architectures. Solid understanding of state-of-the-art public cloud environments (Google, IBM, Oracle, etc.), their service offerings as well as their limitations. Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift. Excellent understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tools and implementing the same. Experience in automation skills and the ability to identify automation needs quickly. Ability to act hands-on as a lead developer, if necessary. Ensure the big picture vision while still being able to deliver on the details. Able to balance between strategic thinking and agile implementation. Eager to communicate with business stakeholders as well as with developers.
