Job Summary

As a Software Developer on our R&D team, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our core products. Your work will involve a diverse range of tasks, from synchronizing code between Java and C# to developing custom plugins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Mastery: Deepen your understanding of Astadia's product suite and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java and C#.
  • Cross-Language Proficiency: Seamlessly port code between Java and C#, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Plugin Development: Build tailored plugins (primarily in Java) to meet specific project needs.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with product teams and release engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Adaptability: Embrace a dynamic work environment and be open to learning new technologies and approaches.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 6+ years of C# development and 2+ years of Java development experience.
  • Language Expertise: Strong understanding of Java 8, 11, 17, and 21, as well as .NET Framework, .NET Core, C# 8, and C# 13.
  • Legacy Systems: Familiarity with legacy technologies like COBOL is a plus.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficiency in parser generators (JavaCC, ANTLR v4) and a passion for exploring new technologies.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

  • R&D Experience: Experience in R&D product development processes.
  • Legacy Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of COBOL, CICS, Natural, IDMS, and VSAM.
