OpsTech IT is seeking a pioneer to help build a world class support infrastructure for our fulfillment teams across the globe. The Systems Development Engineer will use the technical expertise for developing tools, systems and automating IT processes.

We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer to design and create solutions to manage internal support systems and tools, that deliver world class support to our fulfillment operations globally. You will be responsible for designing and building redundant enterprise level solutions to reduce errors during the support process, issue resolution and customer contact times. This position will include the development and implementation of internally written tools for highly diverse infrastructure and end user equipment environment. You will use AWS products and DevOps patterns to build the next generation tools and systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field, and/or relevant work experience
4+ years of infrastructure design and administration
2+ years of experience working with hypervisors and virtualization technologies.
2+ years minimum of development of systems management and administration automation in Python, PowerShell, or .NET
2+ years of experience with TCP/IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
Advanced training or experience with AWS services and integration
2+ years working with Relational databases such as MySQL, noSQL, PostgreSQL or similar
Web Development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters in Computer Science or related degree (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, strong customer focus, and ownership
Able to create and collaborate with others on the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
3+ years of experience focused on Server Infrastructure, Microsoft SQL Server, and AWS development.
Ability to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, or C#
