Sr. PROGRAM MANAGER- Standards, Procedures & Compliance
Sr. Program Manager- Standards, Procedures & Compliance (SPC) will work cross functional teams and assess the effectiveness of existing processes and manage changes if required to make them more robust. This in turn will facilitate continual improvement of Security Loss Prevention processes and associated deliverables. He will actively seek opportunities to bench mark internal process with industry best practices. This role requires working with business teams across the company to define requirements and building a standardization, compliance and training program for the INSLP .This role needs to work closely with Global Security Program Leaders for Risk & Resilience, policy and compliance to influence policies to support India Operations. The position is field based.
Key Responsibilities Include:
To work with the GSO & the INSLP team to develop a robust mechanism to manage the global audits, policies, procedures and standards by implementing global policies in addition to regional standards also to manage the various SWN groups and crisis management requirements
To closely study & understand the processes and work closely with the ICQA, ACES & AMZL teams to perform Process Integrity checks and come up with gap analysis and corrective action plans.
Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements resulting in improve efficiency/effectiveness.
To drive the process standardization project across the IN sites and build resilience capability and strive towards highest maturity level.
Drive opportunities to certify sites to PASS on BCM/Resilience standards.
Drive excellence programs for the SLP functions and create global benchmarks.
Develop site specific business continuity plans across the network
To continuously work with all site leadership to ensure the site is well trained and equipped to deal with any kind of emergencies and or crisis situations.
Organized trainings on business continuity for site leadership, thereby testing the plans
Stakeholder meetings, other meetings/weekly calls with Reporting Manager/Team, Travel to new locations and existing sites
Develop annual training requirements internal and external as required.
Basic Qualifications:
A completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and/or 5+ years Amazon experience
8+ years of Crisis Management & Business Continuity experience successfully & effectively implementing programs on-time.
Prior experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field
Experience in developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and priorities, negotiate, resolve problems, and develop relationships at all levels of the organization as well as with outside vendors.
Ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in disparate geographic locations, and provide leadership and direction
Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver
Ability to take calculated risks and challenge current practices to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet or exceed the customer expectations
Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, to include intermediate knowledge of Excel
Up to 50% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Amazon systems , Amazon Logistics and fulfillment center processes
Strong familiarity with CMM and other related concepts of process standardization
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired and certification is a plus
Experience with warehouse, manufacturing or distribution center services is a plus
