Sr Finops Analyst - Payroll Controllership Job in Amazon

DESCRIPTION

Payroll Controllership team is seeking analyst to provide consultative support to operations in identifying control improvements opportunities with the objective of mitigating risk. This individual will ensure Amazon's Finance Operations processes stay ahead of risks in areas of process design, internal control effectiveness, computer system integration, and other relevant areas through a culture of continuous inspection of our processes, systems, and key business initiatives. You prioritize effectively, and drive cross-functional remediation efforts focusing on the highest risks and ensure problems stay fixed. Additionally, you will participate in ad-hoc assignments as needs arise. High judgment and effective decision-making is important for this role, possessing excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities also include:
Able to actively participate in audit meetings and clearly articulate operational documentation requirements.
Independently gather audit documentation for external/ internal audit requirements.
Perform documentation reviews to ensure it meets audit requirements.
Co-coordinating with different process owners to conduct deep dives, resolve complex problems, walk-through and quality reviews of evidence.
Co-ordination between the auditors and the Operational stakeholder to ensure smooth completion of audits.
Able to conduct process reviews and identify process vulnerabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

MBA 3+ years of experience in internal audit/ process reviews.
Proficient in Microsoft excel and word.
Flexible to work in shifts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Strong problem solving and review skills.
Prior experience in Payroll.
