DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks a brilliant, innovative and passionate audit professional to join the global Finance Operations Audit and Self-Inspection Team. The primary mission of the team is to drive operational excellence through a culture of continuous inspection of our processes/systems/tools and key business initiatives. The top priority of the team is to enhance controllership within Amazon processes.
This individual will raise the bar on our processes by continuously evaluating the internal controls and improving them through audits, process evaluations and remediation assistance. The individual will be responsible to plan and scope the audits/ process reviews, execute the audit plan, prepare written findings and facilitate business responses and action items. He would also provide consultative support to the business partners to identify opportunities for control improvements. Audit areas may include both finance and operational processes like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other operational processes. Additionally, the individual may also participate in adhoc assignments as the need may be.
This individual should be self-driven, be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, be flexible with the ability to prioritize workloads and have a strong eye for detail. This role will have regular interaction with multiple business units across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. The individual should have a strong background in accounting and internal controls.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4 year degree in accounting and commerce CA/ MBA (Finance)
8-10 years of relevant financial, audit and/or operational experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Flexible with work hours
Flexible to travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advance accounting degree (CA, CPA, MBA)
Experience in working with US based companies
Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley, US GAAP and India GAAP would be an added advantage
Strong financial and operational audit skills
Strong analytical skills
Self-starter, ability to work in fast-paced environment
