About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in advanced AI/ML techniques, including Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs), Reinforcement Learning, and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and development in the oil and gas industry, driving innovation and efficiency within our organization. You will work on impactful projects and play a crucial role in shaping the future of energy through AI and machine learning.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement AI/ML Models: Design and deploy advanced models using PINNs, Reinforcement Learning algorithms, and GANs for key business areas such as:
- Reservoir Simulation & Optimization
- Production Forecasting & Optimization
- Predictive Maintenance
- Exploration & Resource Assessment
- Field Development Planning
Collaborate with Domain Experts: Work closely with geologists, engineers, and other domain experts to understand business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
Model Evaluation: Design experiments to assess model performance, optimize results, and ensure robustness.
Stay Current with AI/ML Trends: Keep up to date with the latest AI/ML advancements and explore their applications within the oil and gas industry.
Contribute to Research & IP: Contribute to the creation of intellectual property and publish research in leading AI/ML journals and conferences.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of innovation within the team.
Work with Engineering Teams: Partner with product engineering teams to productionize AI/ML solutions, ensuring smooth integration into existing internal systems and platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Educational Qualification: PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience applying advanced AI/ML techniques in the oil and gas industry or closely related fields.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of PINNs, Reinforcement Learning, and GANs.
- Expertise in Python and relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Good to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences.
