Amazon Prime Video seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to be a key business partner with Amazon's Digital Video Original Content team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses, including: Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Echo, Kindle and Audible. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon, directly supporting a high performing, fast growing Originals Content team. The Original Content team focuses on creating cinematic level content which caters to a diverse customer needs and help the business grow. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to work in a start-up like environment and is passionate about digital media and new customer experiences.

This role will be a good fit if you are highly analytical, thrive in a fast paced environment, are able to work with large sets of data while putting qualitative spin to your thinking.

Key responsibilities:
Lead and support strategic value-added analyses around Original content, developing key insights around core business metrics
Facilitate strategic planning and the allocation of the content budget annually, and management and controllership throughout the year
Monitor and analyze key predictors, identify trends and present actionable insights to the leadership team
Create and analyze financial data and reports, providing key variance explanation, and highlight areas of risk and opportunity to the WW business/finance leadership
Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders for planning and reporting (Accounting, business, marketing, Amazon studios)
Monitoring on-going productions and maintaining strong controllership (payments, cash-flows, variance analysis, cost reporting), via regular interactions with auditors, producers and production team
Partnering with the business to scope and implement studio production finance and accounting solutions
Monitoring and helping the original content team manage the upcoming slate for Original productions
Support deal negotiations during development and production as a business finance partner
This position requires a successful candidate tackle multiple work-streams/projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have exceptional Finance skills and strong understanding of Accounting principles, solid leadership skills and firm business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results.
You will operate independently and successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.

The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work effectively autonomously and drive projects with the team and cross-functionally with other teams including Content, Marketing and Business development. The candidate will need to able to collaborate with business partners both in IN as well as abroad. You must display strong initiative for anticipating and meeting the business demands of senior-level business managers.

This role will be based in Mumbai, India

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

MBA from a top-school and / or Chartered Accountant with strong academic credentials
5-7 years of proven domain expertise
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Work experience in FMCG, Media or Telecom will be an added advantage
Ability to lead discussions with internal leadership team and external producers/partners independently
Performed a business partnering role for a rapidly scaling up organization
Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business support involving forecasting, variance analysis
Ability to lead projects independently
Excellent written and oral communication
Familiarity with financial reporting software (e.g. Cognos / Oracle)
