DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking a Senior Analyst - Operations to join the Hyderabad Tax team. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. The position of Senior Analyst Operations will be responsible to work across all tax teams in Hyderabad to help manage day to day operations, manage projects, drive process improvements, business continuity planning and performance metrics. Additionally, this position will lead projects and opportunities across operations that are business critical, and may be global in nature.
Responsibilities:
Oversee & maintain database of hiring activity, job descriptions and job requisitions
Indirectly manage L4 PM resource who can help with various operational areas such as Visio flowcharts, headcount graphs and leadership visits
Gather and consolidate reports for monthly and quarterly leadership reporting including monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBR & QBR)
Drive creation and adoption of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for all tax teams
Manage communication among stakeholders in tax and other teams in Hyderabad/India to ensure consistent messaging among all teams
Create and manage project plans for initiatives you are leading such as BCP, Team website/wiki, standardize onboarding, Training and performance metrics
Must be able to work independently
Process Documentation and Improvement:
Maintain current operational processes and documents
Lead teams (both in the India and globally) on how to document processes and improve (lean) processes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
Minimum 4-6 + years in operations
Minimum 4-6 + years in project management and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Tax background
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
MBA Finance
Six Sigma Certified
PMP
Six Sigma Black Belt
Technically proficient and have strong accounting, analytical and writing skills
Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel and Visio.
