Job Profile: Quality Manager Retail Systems
Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global eCommerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses in seven countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, web services for developers.
The RBS group in Bangalore is an integral part of Amazon online product life cycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The teams primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Roles and Responsibility:
Candidate will be responsible to (1) continuously improve the quality and impact of business outputs by leveraging Total Quality Management (TQM) (2) proactively identifying and eliminating the source of defects with the aim to generate First Time Right (FTR) output (3) Leverage Technology (Automation & Machine Learning) to create scalable solutions. S/he will interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe (US, Canada, France, Germany, UK, China and Japan) to deliver to the requirements and work directly with multiple department/ teams across Amazon.
Duties may include, taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of content creation / population done by others, ensuring records are maintained accurately, ensuring utilization of team is high, mentor and train new team members. Candidate will also have to manage internal and external stakeholders, conduct coaching programs for the team to upgrade their performance and continuously identifying process gaps followed with a fix. S/he will ensure adherence to quality structure and transaction monitoring piece (audit/Feedback/Coverage). Candidate is expected to do Process Improvement and to achieve Quality targets - Focus Audits, Mystery Audits, Dipstick Compliance, Extra Audits, Calibration with internal and external teams. S/he will use the Lean Sigma Tools to run the Quality and VOC Projects

Key Performance Areas:
People Management (leadership role, Category Lead, team management, floor control and retention)
Formulate, Implement, Track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the team
Metrics Management
Mentor and guide Quality lead / Process Expert to manage quality, improve process efficiency and minimize variation, conceptualize, design and deliver training to the team
Manage the team and ensure high service delivery and execution

Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 4 years in managing people and interacting with customer / stake holders
(If required only) 24/7/365 availability, including willingness to work on weekends, and outside of the "standard" work day
Bachelor Degree from a Reputed College/ University
Six Sigma Green Belt certified with high value projects delivered. Black belt will be a plus
Indepth knowledge of QC Tools, FMEA, SIPOC, Process Mapping etc.
To receive security clearance all candidates must undergo a background check

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Total of 6-8 years of experience out of which minimum 4 years in managing people and interacting with customer / stake holders Bachelor Degree from a Reputed College/ University Six Sigma Green Belt certified with high value projects delivered. Black belt will be a plus In depth knowledge of QC Tools, FMEA, SIPOC, Process Mapping etc. To receive security clearance all candidates must undergo a background check In depth knowledge of MS Office package specially MS Word and Excel Basic understanding of Automation (Languages like Python and Java etc.) and Machine Learning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Meets all the Basic Qualification Preferred Qualification is Masters in Business Administration Consistent Practitioner of six sigma methodologies Competent in working on analysis and coding of Python, SQL automation etc. Has demonstrated business acumen in driving organization wide programs/project
