POSITION DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Finance Operations Manager to lead the operations of our global financing program for our datacenter equipment. Our financing program secures funding for equipment behind AWS products and services across the globe, and the HYD team executes the payment operations behind the program. The Finance Operations Manager will lead the team to ensure timely and accurate payments, serve as main interface and problem solvers for suppliers and banking partners, drive productivity and automation in a scalable fashion, and work effectively and collaboratively across Global Accounts Payable and business partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own overall process performance and compliance for finance lease payment operations.
Proactively identify areas for process improvement and automation, identifying both issues and solutions, as well as developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation
Provide data-driven analytics and support to business partners in identifying and resolving issues.
Partner with stakeholders to drive critical projects and technology integration for your process areas.
Drive a rigorous and proactive cadence of communications, keeping stakeholders informed on current statuses and engaged in key decisions.
Define, own, execute and review process goals.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and business partners to proactively address issues.
Manage compliance with current contracts and controls, and develop new processes and controls to support the growing, global AWS business.
Lead in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews on the programs performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional Finance and our technology development teams to create new business and reporting tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
7+ years of leading finance in manufacturing/supply chain
5+ years of people management experience
Excellent analytical and process management skills, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
Strong written and oral communication skills
The ability to lead a team and motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
The ability to effectively present to, and engage with, stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach
Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, Cognos TM1
Good at handling of large amounts of complex data and comfortable in a data warehouse - SQL environment
