OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Alstom Service Platform offers a wide range of business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway), Signalling and Infrastructure products: maintenance, modernization, technical support and parts services.

Several IT solutions are being implemented to optimize Alstom Service business processes and provide services to customers: maintenance management system, service execution system, maintenance documentation, dashboards, eCommerce for spare parts, customer portal, eLogbook, maintenance planning optimization using technologies such as SAP, Salesforce, Apriso, Anaplan, Arbortext, QlikSense, Maximo a.s.o

The IS&T (Information System & Technology) Service team supports the Service business to optimize and digitalize several processes: maintenance, service execution and customer services. One major role of the team is to design, deliver and support mobile solutions based on Salesforce and REACT technologies to Alstom projects worldwide.

The Salesforce Mobile Expert's role is to ensure that the solutions delivered are aligned with Alstom core model.

S/He will need to interact with internal and external stakeholders in order to respond to our increased number of mobile deployments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Mobile expert, you are in charge of:

  • Lead the development of Hybrid App using React Native, analyze issues and enhancements (for iOS & Android target platforms)
  • Participate in full application life cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, package and release
  • Work closely with product manager to understand requirements and evaluate technical feasibility to deliver next generation experiences across applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across geographies
  • Write technical documentation used by development team during programming stages
  • Participate in planning activities and provide accurate estimates
  • Review code developed by partners, research technical issues and provide recommendations to enhance reusability, consistency, performance and maintainability
  • 3+ years of experience and proficiency with languages, tools and frameworks (primarily Hybrid React Native for iOS & Android Platforms), including XCode, Android Studio, Visual Studio, etc and deployed Apps into iOS & Android Public Stores
  • 1+ year of experience with Mobile architecture, design and integration technologies (including Salesforce Mobile SDK, OAuth, SOAP, REST and SOA design principles)
  • Good understanding of major mobile design & development paradigms (spanning user experience (Native, HTML5, etc), data ingestion, analytics, offline, etc along with knowledge of design patterns, UML and engineering practices
  • You have user-centric / customer-centric, Agile and continuous learning mindset
  • You like to collaborate with architects, designers, product managers, and software developers to influence product direction and functional requirements
  • Have a passion for quality and writing clean & readable code that scales and performs well

In order to be able to execute all the responsibilities above, you will be constantly liaising between partners and local business in order to drive the different projects successfully. When it comes to our applicative landscape, you will be working not only with partners and business but also with other IS&T teams in other pillars. Your technical expertise will be needed in order to deliver the different projects with high quality and on time.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Language skills: English expertise is a must both spoken and written.
  • Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology, you have more than 3 years of experience in Mobile Application solutioning.
