Job Summary
The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts (Services, Product Managers and Software Development organization) and Skill Developers to create and update training content. Training contents comprises of videos, screencast, eCourses, and Instructor led courses content. Assist in determining the best delivery method for various training needs. Establish content design and development standards.

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and maintain courses, lessons and quizzes
    • Ensuring new and updated training content is designed, developed and maintained
    • Employ role and end to end business scenario approach to develop training content
    • Determining the training content updates required to support changes in product functionality
    • Preparing scripts and adding voice overs to videos and eCourse
    • Institute and follow processes while designing and creating effective training videos and/or eCourses
    • Providing accurate estimates and predictable completion dates of assigned deliverables
    • Handle projects and develop milestones to measure progress
    • Develop working knowledge of Aera platform to effectively capture product and functional flows
    • Work with Training Enablement to design, develop and maintain standard product training databases across the platform to facilitate hands-on exercises

About You

    • At least seven years as an Instructional Designer. Applying sound instructional design principles to training contentfor business applications
    • OR
    • Seven years of experience out of which two years in Instructional Design and five years in documenting software applications
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
    • Ability to gather product information by analyzing product development documentation such as user stories and design documents
    • Expertise in distilling technical concepts and presenting them in clear, simple language
    • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and completing complex work
    • Ability to adopt and implement instructional design standards
    • Broad grasp of software development and document development cycles and participate in product release cycles. (Alpha, Beta and general availability)
    • Cross functional experience and establishing a rapport within and outside of the team
    • Ability to accept new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm
    • Possess good organizational and administrative skills
    • Ability to communicate well in both formal and informal situations

    • Qualification
    • Masters or a Bachelor s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communication, or English or equivalent experience in training content design and development
    • Certification in adult learning a plus

    • ToolsProficiency in these software applications:
    • Adobe Captivate Articulate360 OR Storyline
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint , Excel and Publisher
    • Moodle LMS OR Other standard LMS
    • TechSmith Camtasia Vyond
    • Basic HTML Skills

Measurement - Senior Instructional Designers are measured on their ability to:

    • Institute and adherence to quality standards
    • Mentor Instructional Designers
    • Develop project plans and provide accurate estimates
    • Adhere to schedules and deliver assignments on time
    • Research, learn and apply new design and development methodologies
    • Add to the growth of the Function
