System Administrator Job in Ada Software Technology

Role: System Administrator

Experience: 2-3 Yrs.

Location: Kolkata

The System Administrator is a key member of our team who will maintain, secure, optimize, expand and support a growing computer infrastructure.Our operation fundamentally depends upon a high-availability production network for software development functions.Consistent with this, the System Administrator is responsible for the operational integrity of the company s computing infrastructure to meet ADA Software s mission, goals, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Performs a major role in ensuring the security, stability and overall usability of the network and providing an excellent networking experience to our staff.
• Monitors network performance and ensures high level system availability and reliability.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues in the organization to provide ongoing support and to meet the organization s needs.
• Configures, maintains and optimizes computer & network equipment including servers, desktops, routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points,involving system upgrades service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Stays up to date with advances in the field, and ensures that our network designs and security posture conforms to best practices.
• Manages appropriate access control based on security requirements.
• Plays a role in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and support strategies.
• Works in close and effective coordination and collaboration with external vendors and service providers.
• Monitors and analyzes network traffic to maximize network performance and user productivity.
• Monitors both VM and physical servers through various network monitoring systems.
• Maintains inventory database and service contacts.

Job Requirements

• A GraduateDegree, preferably in Electronics/Computer Science
• Strong self-initiation and the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Demonstrated experience at working well with senior management, peers and coworkers, and all levels of end users, in high-pressure situations and complex environments.
• Experience with the configuration and administration of network devices.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure, AWS & Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools (open source tools preferred).

Good To Have:

• Advanced knowledge of network security including IDS, DDoS, firewalls etc.
• Certification in MS Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud
