Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities-

  • To work closely with business development team in order to participate in certain pre-sales activities including giving demos of our past work to our prospective clients, reviewing clients requirements to the core, drafting the expected workflow of the required app/software that can be proposed to prospective client, etc.
  • To work closely with engineering team in order to participate in another set of pre-sales activities including identifying the best technologies to use for the project execution, identifying the best engineering resources from our engineering team to deploy on the concerned project, analyzing/defining & drafting the detailed work scope of the required app/software. Also, to create Gantt chart and Sprint Plan for the new projects.
  • If case new/more engineering resources are required in the engineering team, you will be expected to work closely with HR department to help them draft the JD of the required resource(s), take general round of interview with the applicants, aligning next round of shortlisted candidates with subject experts (if available within the team). Also, regulating the tech hiring process by standardizing the machine tests for each technical profile.
  • Conceptualizing the required app/software, helping UI/UX designer in shaping the UI/UX of the required app, drafting pre-development documentation including DFD, SRS, BRD, FRD & ERD.
  • Deciding what needs to be custom coded and what can be furnished with the help of third party/readymade tools/platforms available in the market.
  • Taking daily scrum call with the entire engineering team and assigning them work on daily basis. In addition, taking daily stand up call in evening with the entire engineering team to ensure that the assigned work is in-line to expected project deliveries is executed by the concerned teammate(s) with quality, on time and within stipulated budget.
  • Resolving engineering teams queries by taking them to business development team and/or to client as and when necessary.
  • Ensuring that engineering team is working with optimum productivity and leveraging social learning (learning by working with other like-minded engineers).
  • Taking daily/weekly stand up call with clients (as decided individually with each client) to provide them an update about their project.
  • Managing all the projects over a project management tool like Jira or Asana and keeping engineering team and client team in loop there. Feeding and updating the project management tool regularly, in real time.
  • Taking periodic performance review of engineering teammates in capacity of their reporting manager and ensuring their learning and career growth.
  • Ensuring that pre-decided milestone/sprint of the projects are being delivered to client on time, approved by the client in timely manner and business development team gets a green signal to raise invoice to move towards the next milestone.
  • Mentoring and coaching engineering team members to ensure no friction and smooth operations.
  • Keeping clients informed about any delays, changes, availability/unavailability of engineering teammate(s), etc. Maintaining a frank yet professional business relationship with all the clients.
  • Making/ensuring continuous upgrades/improvements in engineering and operational processes inline to software development.
  • While maintaining and managing projects, taking care of upselling and cross-selling opportunities and making business development team aware about such opportunities in timely manner.
  • Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience of at least 6 months either as Business Analyst or as Project Coordinator in a service-based App/Software Development Company.
    • Fair understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Project Coordination, Scrum calls and Stand-up calls in-line to software, web and mobile app development projects.
    • Fair understanding of at least one leading project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Basecamp, etc.
    • Good understanding of delivering projects in an agile environment.
    • Should have knowledge about pre-sales and post-sales process.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and convincing skills.
