Job Summary

The Role: Data Research Specialist

We are seeking Data Research Specialists to join our Data Operations team. This role involves managing large volumes of data efficiently and supporting our Product and Tech teams with data validation, analysis, and updates. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy. As a Senior Research Specialist, you will also mentor junior team members, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain high standards of data management within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research from secondary sources and validate data accuracy using tools like Excel or similar.
  • Enhance dataset quality by identifying and resolving errors flagged by internal teams or customers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define research objectives, methodologies, and deliverables, providing insights and recommendations to decision-makers.
  • Perform rigorous quality checks on research outputs and streamline data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefs for stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Onboard and train junior research specialists, helping them improve their productivity and understanding of data processes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data research, analysis, or operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
