Job Description We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to join our team in Pune. As a Director you will be responsible for the engineering of products used by hundreds of companies and thousands of end users to make critical decisions. Working hand in hand with firm leadership, product managers, clients, and your own team of Managers, you will have an immediate impact in steering a major product portfolio. You will provide thought leadership, direction & coaching for a team of entry level to your own team of managers. The individual must have proven experience in building and scaling strong engineering teams that deliver quality products working collaboratively with Process Design, Product Management, and Operations teams. Manage a team of top-notch software developers to build products that extend our Software as a Service platform and drive value for our clients Ownership of complex software architectures, operational metrics, and running the day to day operations of the business Provide technical expertise to your team and the entire Our managers have a large say in the technologies and practices of the group and anyone can make a difference Stand up for engineering practices that ensure quality products: automated testing, unit testing, agile development, continuous integration, code reviews, and technical design Coach your team by providing clear career objects, priorities, technical advice, and performance reviews Hire and grow world class software Motivate engineers to go above and beyond Motivate your team while instilling accountability and keeping a focus on delivering results Empower your team to use industry best-in-class tools and technologies Know and care about what customers want from our service and be willing to stand up for it! Work with product managers, user experience designers, test engineers, QA analysts, consultants, and program managers to ensure that we build tools that wow our internal and external clients Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed software development sprint plans and release schedules Assign and track deliverables to make sure your team meets internal and external deadlines
