Job Summary Job title/role: ZScaler Proxy Specialist Experience 9 to 12 years Location Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune. Essential duties and responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Zscaler Proxy Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing our Zscaler cloud proxy infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient internet access for our organization. Responsibilities 1. Zscaler Implementation and Management Deploy and configure Zscaler's cloud proxy services across the organization Manage and maintain Zscaler proxy policies, including URL filtering, SSL inspection, and data loss prevention (DLP) Configure and optimize Zscaler Cloud Firewall settings Implement and manage Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) for secure remote access 2. Security Policy Enforcement Develop, implement, and maintain security policies using Zscaler's proxy capabilities Configure and fine-tune content and security filters to align with organizational policies Implement and manage advanced threat protection features, including sandboxing and AI-powered phishing detection 3. Performance Optimization Monitor and optimize Zscaler proxy performance to ensure minimal latency and maximum throughput Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues related to Zscaler services Implement traffic shaping and bandwidth control policies as needed 4. Integration and Interoperability Integrate Zscaler proxy services with existing network infrastructure and security tools Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with identity providers Ensure seamless operation of Zscaler services across various endpoints and devices 5. Reporting and Analytics Generate and analyze reports on web usage, security threats, and policy violations Utilize Zscaler's analytics capabilities to identify trends and potential security risks Provide regular updates to management on the state of web security and proxy performance 6. Incident Response and Threat Mitigation Actively monitor Zscaler logs and alerts for potential security incidents Participate in incident response activities related to web-based threats Conduct post-incident analysis and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences 7. User Education and Support Develop and deliver training materials on safe web browsing practices Provide technical support for Zscaler-related issues to end-users and IT staff Create and maintain documentation on Zscaler proxy configurations and best practices 8. Compliance and Auditing Ensure Zscaler proxy configurations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations Participate in security audits and provide necessary documentation on Zscaler controls Stay informed about changes in compliance requirements and adjust proxy policies accordingly Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field 3+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on proxy technologies Proven experience with Zscaler implementation and management Strong understanding of web protocols, SSL/TLS, and network security concepts Familiarity with other security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, and SIEM Experience with cloud security architectures and zero trust network access (ZTNA) principles Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Relevant certifications (e.g., Zscaler Certified Cloud Security Professional, CCSP, CISSP) are a plus Relationships: You will work with CIS Team (Shared Services, Network, Security, Applications) architects, engineers, developers, support, and leadership team on projects and provides subject matter expertise as necessary. Maintaining a good relationship with our global IT teams is key to your success. In your role you will need to be able to communicate with people at all levels in the organization and work with several of our suppliers and partners.
