Branch Controller Job in Youngman India Pvt Ltd.

Job purpose:

Looking for an effective Warehouse personnel to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Job Responsibilities:

1.Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

2.Complies with central, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

3.Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

4.Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

5.Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

6.Achieves financial objectives; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

7.Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

8.Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

9.Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

10.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

11.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

12.Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies and vision

13.Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations

14.Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization

15.Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures

16.Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements

17.Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

18.Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system

19.Prepare annual budget

20.Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies

21.Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results

22.Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees

23.Produce reports and statistics regularly

24.Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Skill Requirements:

Supervision, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analysing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment

Proven work experience as a warehouse manager

Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

Leadership skills and ability manage staff

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
