Job Summary Job Objective Objective of this job is to administer databases (Microsoft Technologies) for IT projects; conduct preventive and corrective steps for DB upkeep; Evaluate Technical architectures and provide recommendations ; collaborate with DCO /CT teams at data centre, software development teams, Infrastructure outsourcing team, DBAs , network administrator as a consortium (Centre of Excellence) ; Participate & own data centre upkeep and expansion plans, Liaison with user departments for state data centre usage, upkeep of client assets, own & drive Archival/ back up/ Restoration policies. Track SDC (state data center compliance for conducted tier 2 audits and certifications from norms adherence and renewal stand-point). Benchmark new technologies; work on continuous up-gradation of technical artifacts. Experience :-
  • 6+ Years.
Qualifications :-
  • B.E/B.TECH(Electronics/computer science/Information Technology) / MCA / MSc(IT/CS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience.
  • Work experience must span over 2 turnkey IT assignments (min) with team size > 50.
  • DBA Certification SQL 2008/2012/latest version.
  • Conversant with CMMi L5 framework.
Preferred Candidate Profile :-
  • Working experience for government clients would be added advantage.
  • Candidate should be executed role of being part of development teams in more than 7 project.
  • Technology benchmarking experience.
  • Candidate should be self-driven and capable of generating PoC (Proof of concepts) directly and through a team.
Key Responsibilities :-
  • Conversant with CMMi L5 framework.
  • Candidates with 6 years of strong database administration experience on SQL Server 2008 /SQL server 2012 and need to updated himself in latest version.
  • Strong understanding of - SQL Server 2008 / SQL server 2012.
    • Data structures / DB schema - advise on DB tables /data storage & retrieval - optimize performance.
    • Help application teams identifying work flow optimizations - proactively.
    • Maintain and share web analytics & reporting - application and DB.
    • DB issues troubling shooting.
    • Optimization of DB issues - run time /periodic DB activities - monitoring indexes/ DB health.
    • Assisting application teams in migration scripts and writing web-services (push/pull data) from/to other databases.
    • Advise application teams on data archival/ purging techniques/Recovery.
    • Devise methodology of central DB repositories like data centres.
  • Must have administered DB volumes in excess of 100 GB - for client/server and web-based applications.
    • Conversant with Microsoft technologies (.NET 3.5.x or higher), Visual Studio2010/.NET framework 3.5, Tomcat/Apache/IIS AS, SP 2010. SQL/My-SQL DB exp.
    • Conversant with HP-UX, TRU 64 Unix, Linux ( Red-Hat/SCO), Windows.
  • Potential candidate should working knowledge on below:
    • Data modeling techniques.
    • Tomcat/Apache/ IIS application servers.
    • Designing techniques and supporting tools.
    • Legacy Application/data Migration - operational and implementation.
    • Application Integration - DB/code driven compatibilities.
    • MVC2 architecture
  • Additionally below knowledge islands would be preferred :
    • Data warehousing & Business Intelligence tools - Informatica/ Abnitio.
  • Should be able to collaborate with project resources.
  • In addition to above Primary Responsibilities the incumbent may be assigned any other task from time to time by Management of MAP IT.

Salary : Upto 6.1 L Per Annum
