Job Description:
Purpose:
A short statement which describes the role and how it supports Xerox's key objectives using specific measures of success (Key Performance Indicators).
The role is instrumental in managing tax accounting under US GAAP for the Asia and Eastern Europe region.
As a member of the worldwide tax organization the role ensures that common processes are followed for accurate and timely tax accounting across all legal entities within Asia and Eastern Europe region.
Tax in Xerox is a highly regarded function, adding value to the business and ensuring the integrity of all tax related matters.
Scope:
This role will work closely with tax and accounting colleagues, managing the tax accounting for Xerox entities within Asia and Eastern Europe region. This region includes 30+ reporting units covering all the main global business lines within Xerox. In addition, Xerox has key delivery centers, procurement hub and operating cum holding companies.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and implement monthly, quarterly and annual income tax accrual processes for Asia and Eastern Europe region under US GAAP using centrally managed Longview Tax tool by working with worldwide tax personnel and domestic accounting and forecast groups. Deploy tools/process improvements in line with regional/global tax strategy.
Monitor tax legislative and business changes and ensure required actions are identified and implemented.
Review/Prepare analysis to support recognition of deferred tax assets/ deferred tax liabilities, and valuation allowances.
Review/Prepare return to provision analysis for Asia and Eastern Europe entities.
Work with worldwide tax personnel and domestic budget group to arrive at an annual ETR for Asia and Eastern Europe region entities.
Work with Chief Accountants in Eastern European Countries to oversee annual corporate income tax compliance.
Work with worldwide tax personnel to support and manage Key SOX Tax Controls.
Education Requirements:
CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification
Candidate Background - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
At least 11-13 years post-qualification experience in the tax function of multinational companies and/or international tax consulting firms.
Strong knowledge and experience (6-8 years) of US GAAP income tax accounting principles.
Good working knowledge of principles of international tax, corporate income tax and transfer pricing
Hands-on approach, working with general direction and minimal guidance.
Ability to coordinate work within diverse and geographically dispersed teams and to deliver through to completion.
Detail oriented approach and ability to work with colleagues in different time zones.
Strong computer skills: proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
Strong accounting and analytical skills with detail orientation.
Requires understanding of the overall general accounting system and the ability to analyze specific entries and related financial reports and their correlation to income tax reporting requirements.
Exercises interpersonal communication skills with appropriate accounting personnel in obtaining information needed for income tax provision and timely and accurate reporting.
