About your role:
WRI India seeks a part-time event manager/coordinator to support teams on an on-call basis. The primary responsibility of the manager/coordinator will be to take ownership of the event(s) planning. He/she/they will work to ensure that all necessary elements for each event are in place and the event is successfully organized in a smooth and efficient manner. He/she/they will work under the supervision of the Program Communications Manager.
Scope and Schedule of Work:
Event planning
Create detailed event plan with all requirements for each individual event in line with the set agenda.
Act as primary point of contact for all event management purposes.
Provide end-to-end event management support for offline, online and hybrid events.
Logistics support
Manage all on-site logistics for events including venue selection, accommodation etc.
Ensure that venues meet all event-specific requirements.
Make travel arrangements for speakers, track RSVPs and follow-up as necessary.
Coordinate with speakers and track event participation.
Provide on-ground troubleshooting and assistance for conducting all sessions seamlessly.
Coordinate with various vendors for all event-related collaterals and infrastructural requirements.
Minimum 4 years of work experience in event management. Additional experience in allied fields such as the hospitality industry is a plus.
Previous experience of engaging with government officials, ministers, and other stakeholders will be preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data entry is a requirement.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
Multilingual capabilities desired.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
Duration: 6 Months
