Job Summary

Job Description Job Description Purchasing CoordinatorThe Purchasing Coordinator- Design handles creating purchase orders for furniture, accessories, art and draperies. This includes pricing, ordering, and tracking product to a warehouse to ensure 100% product availability at the time of out loading for a successful installation.This position will serve as a support interface between corporate Purchasing, Design, Development, and suppliers. The ability to successfully work in a team environment, communicate effectively, interact with individuals in Management, work across multiple facets of the organization, and properly prioritize daily activities, is essential in this position.Essential Duty: Assist in pricing furniture, fabric, and treatments related to all new construction and capex projects.Create POs for furniture, art, accessories, and draperies, related to new builds and capex projects.Verify price, ship date, and general order confirmation and monitor delivery to warehouse. Maintain in tracking reports for all orders - Request account receivable (AR) reports to ensure orders are closed out properly. Work with accounts payable (AP Support) to make sure they are processed.Complete acknowledgements from all vendors for each order. Verify orders are complete and accurate (PO matching).Administrative duties, as needed, such as obtain fire certificates for furniture and completing customs paperwork for Canadian projects.Assist in resolving vendor invoice issues.Coordinate with supplier for any delivery issues e.g., damage etc. Complete claim forms and work with vendor for replacement or reimbursement depending on responsible party.Desired:Experience in dealing with Design manufacturers and Distributors (3-5 years preferred)PeopleSoft experience (3-5 years preferred)Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environmentLong term care or healthcare experienceStrong organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsTeam oriented attitude Qualifications Must have Purchasing and vendor process and knowledge.Must have skills with Microsoft Excel3-5 years experience, preferred.
