Senior Software Developer - Database Administrator Job in Vontier

Consult with internal teams to assess needs and recommend appropriate DBMS operational methods and tools.
Document and maintain operational procedures and standards for business critical databases.
Manage the operational aspects of Cloud-based and on-prem databases, including security, auditing, backup and recovery.
Define security requirements and operational procedures and implement appropriate tools and methods to ensure compliance with security framework and protect company systems and information.
Design and implement automated deployment tools and processes.
Maintain and support development, test and production databases for user access, table changes, performance and troubleshooting.
Monitor database performance and ensure database availability.
Define performance tuning criteria and methods, and use those to ensure database performance meets business requirements.
Plan, manage and implement the installation of new or enhanced applications/systems with minimal impact to users and infrastructure.
Test and implement new database features for general use. Build automated database testing solutions.
Automate and test backup and recovery solutions for highly available databases across multiple technologies.
Help design and evaluate major changes to standards and procedures related to database technology direction changes.
May be required to provide on-call support.

Graduation/Degree: Qualification: BE/ B.Tech/ Computer Science/ IT Graduate
3 to5 years Oracle DBA experience

Background and Skills:
Oracle DBA or strong SQL, PL/SQL developer
Extensive experience in SQL in Oracle, MySQL and other RDBMS.
Experience managing business critical production databases in a Cloud environment.
Experience using Data modeling and database design, performance tuning, optimization, schema creation and management.
Experience in Metadata management and repository usage, Backup and recovery.
Familiarity with database design patterns, data analytics, and data-oriented frameworks.
