What Youll Do

Aservice delivery manager's roleat VMware Carbon Blackfocuses on keeping clients satisfied with the company's servicesby doing the following:

  • Help scale and improve the Incident Managementprocess at Carbon Black

  • Create, deploy, and educate teams on the development of SLIs/SLOs/SLAs

  • Build, improve, and facilitate thepostmortemandrelatedprocesses

  • Build and report on KPIs for the Executive team providing visibility and guidance

  • Build methodologies for tracking reliability and performance issues to give teams insight on where to improve customersatisfactionand overall product quality

  • Create process efficiencies where needed to reduce operational burden and administrative tasks

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or other quantitative fields

  • Experience with operational methodologiessuch as ITIL, Lean, Agile, or Kanban

  • Excellent Project Management skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives

  • Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position

  • Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who can successfully manage multiple priorities

  • Enjoy working in a cross-team collaborative environment

  • Effectively communicate across various levels of the organization

  • Experience in a 24x7x365 uptime environment

  • Some knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda,DynamoDB, Kinesis,etc.)

  • Experience analyzing data and supporting the use of data in an enterprise setting

  • Some knowledge ofsoftware programming and infrastructure automation

  • Catchpoint syntheticmonitoring
