About the team:
Seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer with a passion to work in a complex virtual and distributed computing environment to join our NSX development team. We are a close-knit team focused on delivering next generation hybrid cloud solutions with SaaS in mind. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing and optimizing solutions in network space encompassing available and future hardware and software components. You will interact directly with other R&D teams to aid the absorption of these technologies into current and future product lines.
Job Role & Responsibilities
- Overall 8 + years of experience in software development and quality engineering
- At least 5 + years of experience in testing Routing protocols
- Good knowledge/testing of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF etc
- Good Knowledge and experience of testing MPLS EVPN, L2VPN/L3VPN, IPV4/IPV6,Multi-Cast
- Minimum 2 + years of experience in automating test suites (Python/TCL/Perl)
- Basic understanding of Virtualization
- Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA and Spirent.
- Familiarity with SDN and NFV is a plus.
- Experienced in various aspects of Systems test and in QA processes
- CCNP or Equivalent certification in Routing is a big plus
- Self-sufficient, but knows when to ask for help
- Operating Systems: Decent Linux knowledge - Installation/Configuration/Administration (RHEL and Ubuntu a plus), Windows Server, Windows 7
- SCM: git, gerrit, Perforce, SVN
- Bug tracking: bugzilla, redmine
