Job Roles and Responsibilities:

The role is that of an operations and infrastructure specialist, who has extensive knowledge of IT operations, support, incident management and reporting. Should be an expert in data centre technologies like virtualization, networking and storage.
The candidates will :

  • Design / architect, develop and administer infrastructure solutions, selecting software and hardware components to meet requirements.
  • Perform first, second and third line technical support, performing analytical, problem solving and testing activities to resolve/fulfil requests at an expert level to meet resolution/workaround targets.
  • Install, maintain and monitor systems running on both physical hardware and virtualised environments. Assist with the maintenance of live production software.
  • Automate build and configuration where possible. Perform these tasks individual and with the assistance of team members

  • Deploy and maintains hosted infrastructure on cloud and on premThe candidate will be part of a rotational on call schedule. Will be responsible for addressing customer issues, which may fall out of normal working hours. The candidate will be part ofa rotational on call schedule.   • Adhere to processes like ITSM, Change management and Asset Mgmt

Requirements

  • Must have good experience in Technical Infrastructure and IT Service Management with hands on exposure in data centre administration, configuration , Incident management and .support
  • Expertise incorePython development, and deployments in production environment is a must.
  • Hands on expertise to Linux administration and scripting
  • A solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, and configuring VPN connections to on Prem, is a must
  • Exposure to Monitoring tools(any one of Nagios, WaveFront or Zabbix , ZenOs is a must)
  • Exposure to log monitoring tools like LogZ / LINT etc.
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetees is a must
  • A strong working knowledge of virtualisation, especially of VMware products like VSphere, ESXi, VSAN , NSX etc.
  • Exposure to ticketing tools like Service desk and alert monitoring tools like PagerDuty is a must
  • Experience of configuring network devices like routers, firewalls, VLANs and switches is desired
  • Exposure to Data Centre migration is desirable
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practice
  • Exposure to SLA / SLOs, calculations and making sure the applications meet the set standards
