We are looking for a versatile server backend Senior Software Engineer to join one of our VMware Carbon Black Hosted EDR development teams building highly scalable solutions which are now leading the industry in threat hunting and incident response capabilities. What Youll Do:

Be fully involved in the end-to-end software development life cycle:

o Lead design and implementation of new features, collaborating with other senior engineers and mentoring junior ones

o Ensure that software designs follow best-practices and architectural guidelines

o Deliver high quality, well-tested code

o Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing

o Investigate functional problems, finding and fixing defects as needed

Help the team to push the boundaries of every aspect of what it takes to ship software. Just to name a few, these include continuously improving:

o Scalability/performance/stability to push the product where single deployment can now manage 150k+ endpoints to new limits

o Quality/testability allowing the team to turn around high-quality releases faster

o Teams diagnostics/troubleshooting ability by adding instrumentation/visibility and monitoring

What Youll Bring:

Passion for software development as a craft and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment where the focus is on value delivered, not tasks completed

7+ years experience in designing and delivering commercial software products.

High level expertise programming in Python programming and some understanding on Java stack.

Demonstrated aptitude in quickly mastering new languages and technologies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
