Job Description
The VMware Cloud on AWS Product Management team leads the vision, business priorities, and product roadmap for VMwares flagship enterprise hybrid cloud offering delivered as-a-service. We work closely with Customers, Partners, Engineering, SRE, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to create meaningful value for our users and help them achieve their digital transformation goals.
As aProduct Solution Architecture (Reference Architectures), you will be primarily focused on facilitating the adoption of VMware Cloud services through the development of intellectual property designed to propagate working knowledge of those services to VMware field teams, partners, and customers. You will also own the technical engagement from Product, for all design and architecture discussions, best practices on deploying VMC on AWS at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Abilityto engage with customers at all levels to understand deployments and architectures.
- Bethe voice of the customer, share product feedback and gaps, internally with Product and Engineering teams to remove key blockers and accelerate adoption in making our customers successful with VMware Cloud on AWS
- Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop validated solutions for new and existing product features.
- Assist in the development of public-facing content (documentation, design guides, videos,
- presentations, etc..) designed to educate and enable consumers of the VMware Cloud services.
- Work with field teams to gather and document commonly seen designs patterns.
- Work with Product Management teams to drive product development based on feedback from field teams and from customers.
- Translateinsights from customer engagements and work closely with ProductManagement/Engineeringto clearly define the usecases and prioritize feature requests and roadmap to align with customer deployments.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to drive alignment with customers and internal teams.
- Demonstrated experience in translating complex architectural challenges tointernally/externally consumableassets (Blogs, Whitepapers)
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges with Large Scale Enterprise customers.
- Deep understanding of the Data Center technologies such as: Compute, Storage, Networking, Virtualization.
- A strong background in solutions design using VMware SDDC products (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) is desired
- VCAP, VCIX, or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of core AWS technologies such as EC2 and S3, and networking technologies is a plus
- Background in Product Management, Technical Marketing, Solution Architecture
- Experience with AWS and other Public Cloud providers is a plus.
