Role Overview

As a Frontend Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting mission-critical applications at Verizon. You will design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications that enhance the customer experience. Working under the mentorship of a technical lead, you will collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality solutions while also mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop web applications by evaluating client needs and analyzing requirements.
• Coordinate user interface changes, focusing on Responsive Web Design.
• Execute the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including concept, design, build, deployment, testing, and support.
• Ensure the application development sprint cycle stays on track, adjusting the plan to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless project delivery.
• Mentor junior developers, guiding them to meet project objectives and grow their skills.
• Build reusable code and libraries to improve development efficiency for future use.
• Adapt to an agile environment, understanding domain-specific needs and enhancing application performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor s degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Frontend/Web technologies (ReactJS, HTML, CSS, Redux).
• Strong knowledge of Relational databases (Oracle, Postgres).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile Development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development.
• Proven ability in code reviews, performance tuning, and ensuring application quality.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred

• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Relevant certifications in web technologies or cloud development.
• Experience with UI frameworks and understanding of Agile and DevOps tools.
• Expertise in security tools (Fortify, SonarQube, BlackDuck) and knowledge of OWASP rules to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
