To support all component Engineering topics for the respective Business group In depth knowledge and handson experience on Component Technologies /standards/trend, process/practises and Validation/characterization To support the followup of qualification of new/specific component technology To support projects during the different phases of the development to ensure component qualification is in line with project milestones and objectives according to Valeo component qualification process To perform suppliers technical reviews, to support SQA technically during audit &/or eComponent problem analysis Support Hardware engineers in the component selection in line with Valeo rules Support BOM review and suggest improvement for Component healthiness in projects Coordination with Group Central CE teams and experts for component standardisation With the support of R&D follow and purchasing organise PCN (Process/Product Change Notification) for components Assist R&D application teams and coordinate Technical conclusions on BG specific PCNs Understand Product Line s Component Roadmap and its needed Technology survey and synthesis To collaborate with suppliers and purchasing team to get state of the art and competitive components matching Support R&D on alternate component identification as part of strengthening multisource, Sustenance /obsolete management and technical justification aspects Basic knowledge and experience with design using electronic components in past is an additional advantage To have a design to cost mindset in Component Engineering Maintain healthy CE KPIs, Periodically publish/report CE defined metrics and Status To propagate/collect best solutions/practices and enrichment of the electronic standard database Strong communication/presentation skills to facilitate regular face to face communications with all relevant stakeholders.
